Prior to the harvest season, the 19971998 growing season will be remembered for its relatively dry winter with low rainfall during September and October of 1997. The average temperature was higher than the previous year. A good rainfall was recorded for November 100mm. This dry and warm growing season fortunately led to a low disease year and an excellent red vintage. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes were healthy, and yielded wines with good tannin, colour and full bodied structure. - Red Wine - Wine
